Hi my name is Larelle and I lam located in the suburb of Tamatea.
I joined the Bright futures family/whanau in January 18, but I am certainly not new to this game. I bring with me 13 years of experience in Early Childhood Education, with over 10 years of that time as a qualified and registered Early Childhood Teacher.
With the knowledge and experience I have gained within the ECE centre setting I have developed a strong foundation of the kind of care and education to provide for children in my home learning environment, where children can grow to be confident, competent and capable learners.
I respect how important it is to know your child feels safe, secure and valued as an individual, therefore I strive to provide an environment that feels like a home away from home. I am easy going and approachable and value the significance of open, genuine and reciprocal communication with parents/whanau.
I encourage spontaneous play and encourage the children to make decisions on what they learn, by providing an environment where they can choose and access a variety of resources that support the learning and development of several curriculum areas, and ages and stages. I update my resources by making regular visits to the toy library, as a way of extending children’s interests and to keep the resources I have on offer, new and fresh.
I am definitely an out and about in the community kind of gal, so children in my care get the benefit of fun and regular outings, such as playgroups, parks and the library
All the fun, learning and development of your child/ren that is experienced in my care is captured and recorded through a series of learning stories, which is kept in your child/ren’s own individual profile book – this can be taken home regularly and shared with other family members.
I would love to meet you and your child/ren.
