Meet Alisa
Hi, my name is Alisa, and I am located in Wallingford, Waipukurau.
I am a Level 4 Qualified Educator with a Certificate in Nanny Education, and I have been working with Bright Futures since 2011. Before joining Bright Futures, I worked as a nanny and took a break to be a stay-at-home mum between 2012 and 2022.
I love building strong relationships with the families and children I care for, many of whom I still keep in touch with. Living on a farm gives the children in my care a unique experience. They enjoy hands-on activities with the animals, especially in spring when they can feed and play with baby animals.
I create a learning environment that balances structure with spontaneity, planning both quiet and active activities while allowing children to make choices about their participation. I work closely with parents to document each child’s progress in their profile books, filled with learning stories that reflect their strengths and passions.
